Privacy Policy
Effective from the date of your account creation.
1. Data we collect
We store the email address you sign up with, your profile details (username, full name, bio, education, branch, semester, profile picture), the notes you upload, your Rule Coin balance and history, your daily streak and task completions, and the chat messages you send inside the app.
2. Why we collect it
Your profile powers the marketplace and chat so other students know who published a note. Coin history exists so every reward and purchase is auditable by you. Uploaded files are stored so buyers can open what they unlocked.
3. Who can see what
Your username, name, bio, education, branch, semester and profile picture are visible to signed-in members. Published notes and their thumbnails are visible in the marketplace. Note PDFs can only be opened by you and members who unlocked them. Chat messages are readable only by the two people in the conversation. Coin history, purchases and task records are private to you.
4. Storage and security
Authentication, the database and file storage run on our managed cloud backend. Every table is protected by row-level security rules, and files are served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs. Passwords are hashed by the authentication provider and never visible to us.
5. Third parties
We use our cloud provider for authentication, database and storage, and Google as an optional sign-in provider. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers.
6. Your control
You can edit or delete your profile details and remove any note you uploaded at any time from the app. Deleting a note removes it from the marketplace. To delete your whole account and its data, contact us from the email address on your account.
7. Rule Coins
Rule Coins are a virtual in-app currency with no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn. Payment processing is not part of the current app.

If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date below.
